Below find links to newsclippings, two slideshows, and two video clips on same-sex marriage and on my wedding this past October to my love, Vincent Maniscalco. Vinnie and I said "I Do" to each other at a time when many in our community, nationally and abroad, seek to celebrate and honor fully, the love that once dared not speak its name.
As you will see, the issue of same-sex civil marriage rights is dear to our hearts. From the emotional to the legal to the social implications of securing full equality, same-sex civil marriage is a hot-button issue. And, it is inevitable. The Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, and yes, the U.S., will too one day soon decide in favor of equal justice.
Vinnie and I have enthusiastically witnessed this vast sea change in the American and international perception of same-sex couples. Our struggle for the freedom to marry reflects our wish to secure the 1,049 federal benefits -- the rights and responsibilities -- legal marriage affords. We seek to convey, as forcefully as we can, that the love that we have for each other, and that we have experienced in the lives of our lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender brothers and sisters, deserves to be supported, honored, and celebrated.
We invite you to join us. Watch for our upcoming video documentary "Saints and Sinners: A Love Story" chronicling the joys (and minor tribulations!) of our wedding. And please, do all that you can to ensure that we move forward in our journey to freedom.
